GF Ham & Cheese Rolls
A delicious appetizer/snack for any get together.
Ingredients
- 1 box Sun Flour Mills Rolls & Sandwich Bread Mix
- 2 large eggs egg free: omit eggs and add 1/3 cup water
- 1/4 cup oil
- Yeast packet 2 1/4 tsp yeast
- 1 2/3 cup warm water
- 1 TBSP vinegar
- 2 TBSP dijon mustard
- 1/2 lb. ham slices
- 1 cup shredded cheese
- 4 TBSP melted butter
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp Italian seasoning
Instructions
- Make roll dough according to box instruction - Mix together 1 box of Sun Flour Mills Rolls & Sandwich Bread mix, eggs, oil, vinegar, yeast, and water on high speed for 4 minutes.
- Spread out plastic wrap on a work surface and sprinkle with GF flour.
- Transfer roll dough onto the plastic wrap, sprinkle GF flour on top of the dough and top with another layer of plastic wrap.
- Roll out the dough into a rectangular shape.
- Peel off the top layer of plastic wrap and spread dijon mustard onto the roll dough.
- Sprinkle shredded cheese in an even layer on top of the dough and top with ham slices.
- Roll up like a cinnamon roll - use the bottom layer of plastic wrap to help roll the dough up onto itself.
- Cut into 15-18 even rolls.
- Arrange rolls into a greased baking dish and cover with a greased piece of plastic wrap.
- Let rise for 30-45 minutes.
- Remove plastic wrap and brush the melted butter, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning on top of each roll.
- Bake in a 350 F oven for 15-25 minutes until golden brown.
Notes
When cutting the roll into equal slices we recommend using a thin and sharp knife. Cut one slice, wipe the knife completely clean with water, then cut the next slice. (The dough can be more sticky in the middle and keeping a clean knife will help cut through neatly.)
