Vegan Chocolate Cake with Cookie Dough Topping
This recipe was an entry to Sun Flour Mills' Baking Contest. It's a double dessert in one!
Ingredients
Cake
- 1 box Sun Flour Mills Chocolate Cake Mix
- 1 cup water
- ⅔ cup oil
Cookie Dough Topping
- 1 box Sun Flour Mills Sugar Cookie Mix
- ⅓ cup vegan butter
- ⅓ cup shortening
- vegan chocolate chips
- vegan chocolate sauce
Instructions
Cake:
- COMBINE cake ingredients and divide evenly between 6 greased 10oz ramekin dishes.
- BAKE at 350°F for 30 minutes. Time will vary according to your oven, keep an eye on them.
Topping:
- COMBINE sugar cookie mix, softened butter and shortening until well mixed. Add in chocolate chips.
- DOLLOP the topping on top of your individual cakes using a large ice cream scooper. Drizzle with chocolate and more chips if desired.
Notes
*If there is any leftover cookie dough you can make a cookie to go along with your cake.
*Best served warm.
